More pictures !
I like all of these pictures. Some are some what good, but some I really am proud of. I took them all, but I got to give credit for the people I took the pictures of. The editing was pretty easy. I used curves for all of them to make them brighter. Also clone stamp and the blur. They came out pretty good at the end! I can sure improve on thinking of more creative ways to take a picture.
Day 3 November 18, 2009
I’m thankful for my mom, because she’s amazing! Well that’s not really why, don’t get me wrong though, she is great mom. I thank her for being there for me and my little brother after everything she’s been through, because I know life wasn’t easy for her and still isn’t. She’s still there for me, when my dad doesn’t want to be. Also for putting up with me throughout the years! I know that I could be a pain sometimes.
Day 2 November 17, 2009
I’m thankful for my cousin Yuly, because she’s helping me out with my Histories of Our Families Project. Like sending me the pictures and helping write my narrative. we grew up together, and we would fight all the time! One time she got so mad at me she cut my hair! It wasn’t much though, but she still tried to cut it all! We laugh about all of that now, because we’re the closest of cousins and i hear from her at least every week. I try and keep in touch with her as much as I can. I love her to death, even though she tried to cut my hair off!
Day 1 November 16, 2009
I’m very thankful for godsister! I really don’t know what I would do without her, and I’ve known her all my life. She’s always there for me no matter what like the days I would get in trouble she’ll would be there to back me up. We’re exactly the same in everything we say and do. Like the day we were both craving french fries, and hanging out at Walmart! Honestly, I do look up to her and she knows it. I’m glad that I’ve got her to help me out with any problem, from family problems to crazy drama at school. She’s there to listen to every word I have to say.

These poem pictures really took me a while, but it was worth it. I like how both came out, especially the one on top. (Thanks to Randy !) I mostly used the soft brush to get the pictures to blend with the background, also i used the drop shadow and the glow to get the words to stand out more. At first, i didn’t know exactly what i wanted to do, so i think i took longer thinking about what to do than actually doing it. I think by next time i ever do something like this i’ll do way better. I try to make each assignment better than the last one…

I Love how this came out. My biggest worry was blending them in a way it would actually look nice. The abstract background helped alot to keep my picture all together. i even changed it at the last minute. I used the clone stamp to make the disney picture a little bigger. The picture in the middle i put them together and blend them a bit. The last i had to crop the picture. Then combine them all into one. This took me about three days to do. I plan to improve on trying to put more pictures into one and make the whole picture flow….

I love how my CD cover came out, it shows alot about me. For example the Piano shows that i play the piano (i’m not the greatest but still.) And i love the idea about havin the pictures on the keyboard. I was hard to make it look like it was there but i think it looks great. i had to skew the pictures to make them look like they were on the keyboard and so it didn’t look so streched out. I had to get the title to glow so it could stand out a bit more. I also used overlay so the pictures look more realistic (thanks to Randy, he gave me the idea.) The back cover is jus some pretty flowers, The whole picture was colored but i used hue/saturation to leave the flowers colorful and the background black and white.

Well this was kind of like a test. It was pretty hard. I had put the picture of the town layer on the one of the boat, then mask it so the town looks like it’s on the edge of the lake. I had the most diffculty on trying to work around the bush on the left, i had to use the clone stamp for that. Also i had to use a soft brush for the water, because of the reflection of the town and so it looks more natural. I mostly use all the tools i’ve learned these weeks in DSA on combining these pictures. And i like how it came out in the end.

The Bee picture wasn’t SO hard, converting it into a DVD cover. I mostly used the patch tool and clone stamp. To remove the Bees from the top right. Also putting the pattern back together was a bit hard, it didn’t take me long though. I like how it came out, but i just want to improve and remember how to use everything basically ! The picture on the stairs i have to admit took me a long time. Trying to make the wall pattern match and cloning the rest of the stairs. I also used the clone stamp on this one. I feel pretty good about how this one came out.

Before Old image… Then repaired !
Editing these pictures takes a lot of patience. Especially since there old images that have been ruined through out the years. I used mostly the clone stamp and patch tool on photoshop. I really feel like I’m improving in this.
My days in DSA have been great, i’ve really accomplished a lot these couple of weeks. Also learned so much, like coloring black and white pictures and moving pictures onto another so it looks like it was taken like that. For example these pictures i’ve edited, never knew things like this can be done! I do need to improve in it though, so i’ll make sure to work on that. It’s a really fun experience, and i look forward to the rest of my year in this academy.
These passed few days have been great being in DSA. It’s been fun learning how to edit pictures and other sorts of stuff. I think these next few years are gonna be great.
